NewsUNION CORRUGATING LAUNCHES LINE OF BENDABLE VINYL FLASHING(Fayetteville, North Carolina, May 2008) — Union Corrugating now offers a full line of bendable vinyl flashing, or trim coil that’s approved for use with CCA and ACQ treated lumber as a corrosion resistant material. Certain types of treated lumber can corrode traditional aluminum flashing. Aluminum flashing also has certain limitations when used in contact with cementitious material The addition of vinyl flashing to Union’s product line expands the options for consumers and contractors that have these types of applications. Union’s new vinyl flashing uses a patented technology that is bendable and cuttable on any brake just like aluminum flashing. The formulation is highly impact resistant, UV stabilized, cleanable, and very easy to work with. It’s suitable for use in the same types of applications that would use aluminum flashing. Union offers its vinyl flashing in both white and tan. The white flashing is available in 10” x 50’ and 20” x 50’ rolls. Tan is offered in 14” x 30’ rolls. Both products feature a matte finish on one side and a glossy finish on the opposite side. White and tan ledger board flashing is also available in 10’ lengths.
