NewsUNION CORRUGATING CONTINUES ITS EXPANSION BY OPENING A NEW FACILITY IN MORRISON, TNFayetteville, NC –Consistent with the company’s strategy to become a national brand, Union Corrugating has announced the upcoming opening of their newest facility in Morrison, Tennessee. Located approximately an hour southeast of Nashville, this 45,000 square foot manufacturing and distribution center is being completely renovated as a stand-alone facility that will produce their most popular products on site. Equipment in the plant will produce MasterRib, R/PBR, 5V, 2-1/2” corrugated and standing seam profiles, as well as roll formed trim. “This new plant, scheduled to open in September, will enable us to dramatically reduce lead times for our customers in Tennessee, Kentucky and Northern Alabama”, says Keith Medick, Union Corrugating President and CEO. “This fits in with our objective of being the most convenient metal roofing supplier in the industry. Driven by our customers, we continue to make investments in facilities and equipment, with a goal to ultimately help them capture more business.” Morrison represents the second new geographic expansion for Union Corrugating in less than a year – they opened a location in Janesville, Wisconsin late 2016. The Union Morrison Team will consist of experts in the industry and will be headed up by Kevin Babcock, currently Union Corrugating’s head of training. Kevin has an extensive background in plant operations, quality, lean manufacturing and previously ran his own business in the building industry. “Kevin and his entire team look forward to servicing our existing Union customers in the geographic area, as well as growing the business significantly in the coming years,” says Medick.
