NewsUnion Corrugating on TLC’s “Designing Spaces” home improvement show.(Fayetteville, North Carolina, December 2006) — Union Corrugating Company branched out to a different audience in December, 2006 when the company and its products appeared on the television show, “Designing Spaces,” a half hour television series on The Learning Channel and Women’s Entertainment that inspires viewers to make every space count, and to enjoy the space they live in. The show focuses on home remodeling projects for “do-it-yourselfer’s, while showcasing leaders in the field for the projects they are working on that week. During the eight minute segment in the show, filmed in Wilmington, North Carolina, Jason Thornton, Marketing Director for Union Corrugating, discussed with show correspondent Jennifer Williams the main benefits and of metal roofing, including its durability, weather resistance and energy efficiency. He then took Williams through the process of a typical installation, while workers installed the roof on the house. “It was a good chance to educate viewers about the advantages of today’s metal roofing technology, while also showing them how easy installing a metal roof can be,” said Thornton. “In a situation like this, viewers can see the before and after effects that having a metal roof can have on your house.
